Ramusites was named by Mostler (1971) [Sepkoski's age data: J u K Albi]. It is not extant. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type is Ramusites inconstans.

It was assigned to Stichopitidae by Mostler (1971) and Mostler (1972); and to Aspidochirotida by Sepkoski (2002).
