Taxonomy
Strophomena radiata was named by Schmidt (1858). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Erra, Kõrgekallas Formation, which is in an Uhaku marine horizon in the Kõrgekallas Formation of Estonia.
It was recombined as Plectambonites radiata by Öpik (1930); it was recombined as Plectambonites radiatus by Cocks and Rong (1989).
