It was assigned to Rotiformidae by Deflandre-Rigaud (1950); to Synaptidae by Deflandre-Rigaud (1952); to Chiridotitidae by Deflandre-Rigaud (1962); to Theeliidae by Frizzell and Exline (1966) and Soodan (1991); and to Apodida by Sepkoski (2002).
