Jordanocaudina was named by Kozur and Sadeddin (1990) [Sepkoski's age data: J Bath Sepkoski's reference number: 924]. It is considered to be a form taxon. Its type is Jordanocaudina biperforata.

It was assigned to Exlinellidae by Kozur and Sadeddin (1990); and to Molpadiida by Sepkoski (2002).

H. Kozur and W. Sadeddin 1990Sclerite suboval, with elevated smooth distinct rim along the whole margin. Sieve-plate two-layered. Large pores on one side are closed by a lattice with small pores on the other side.
