Taxonomy
Nautilus clementinus was named by d'Orbigny (1840).

It was recombined as Eutrephoceras clementinum by Wiedmann (1960) and Shimansky (1975); it was misspelled as Eutrephoceras clementianum by Kennedy et al. (2008) and Sharifi et al. (2021).
