Taxonomy
Eutrephoceras insigne was named by Shimansky (1975). Its type specimen is PIN 1459/48, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Yangadzha, Turkmeniya, which is in an Albian marine horizon in Turkmenistan.
