Pseudocenoceras xenium was named by Shimansky (1975). Its type specimen is PIN 2626/7, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Entuviveem Creek, Khantyrka River, Koryak Highlands, which is in a Maastrichtian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
