Taxonomy
Cymatoceras bifidum was named by Shimansky (1975). Its type specimen is PIN 2968/1, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Naiba River, below mouth of Sejm River, which is in a Campanian marine horizon in the Russian Federation.
