Taxonomy
Nautilus undulatus was named by Sowerby (1813). It is the type species of Anglonautilus.

It was recombined as Angulithes (Pseudocenoceras) undulatus by Wiedmann (1960); it was recombined as Anglonautilus undulatus by Shimansky (1975) and Lehmann et al. (2017).
