Taxonomy
Anomites exporrectus was named by Wahlenberg (1818). It is the type species of Cyrtia.

It was recombined as Cyrtia exporrecta by Bassett and Cocks (1974); it was recombined as Cyrtia exporrectus by Jin and Chatterton (1997).
