Taxonomy
Lichas haueri was named by Barrande (1846). It is the type species of Lichas (Euarges).

It was recombined as Lichas (Euarges) haueri by Gürich (1901); it was recombined as Acanthopyge haueri by Maksimova (1979); it was recombined as Acanthopyge (Acanthopyge) haueri by Thomas and Holloway (1988).
