---|---|---|
D. B. Blake and D. R. Elliott 2003 | Neopalaeasterid-like stem-group asteroid with primary circlet ossicles not significantly enlarged; ossicles rectangular, transversely elongate. ‘‘Extraneous’’ or ‘‘X’’ ossicles not
developed. Carinal series differentiated, ossicles rectangular, transversely elongate, separated longitudinally by gap approximately equal to length of ossicle. Marginal-series ossicles robust, arched, shield-like. Arm margin defined by marginals, adambulacrals in approximately continuous lateral curve. Adambulacrals with ventral-lateral spine fringe. Axillary edges exposed laterally. Enlarged pustule bases absent, small, uniform, discrete pustules present. No granular accessory debris recognized. Ventral surface not exposed in available material. |
