It was recombined as Spirifer fimbriatus by Hall (1858); it was recombined as Spirifera fimbriata by Billings (1861); it was recombined as Reticularia fimbriata by Schuchert (1897); it was recombined as Elita fimbriata by Frederiks (1918); it was recombined as Elytha fimbriatus by Oliver (1952).
