Downey 1992A genus of Goniasteridae with pentagonal body form; arms normally five, short; abactinal plate tubulate, covered with granules (perpheral granules frequently rectangular), no secndary plates (or, if present, confined to disc); papulae in rectangular readial pattern; both series of marginal plate large, blockwise; actinal plates covered with granules, actinal area more or les extensive, adambulacral granulation not crowded, second row of subambulacral granules similar to actinal granules; madrepoite small, rhombic.
