Aturoidea mathewsonii

Taxonomy
Aturia mathewsonii was named by Gabb (1864). Its type specimen is UCMP 31893, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is MartiƱez, which is in a Selandian/Thanetian coastal sandstone in the Vine Hill Formation of California.

It was recombined as Aturoidea mathewsonii by Miller and Thompson (1935) and Vokes (1937).
