G. Breton 1992Body pentagonal, depressed, with sides concave, straight or slightly convex. Few, large marginal plates: 4 to 12 superomarginals per side. Enlarged ultimate or penultimate superomarginal plates at the arm tip, correponding to 1 to 11 inferomarginal plates. Width of the inferomarginal regularly decreases from interradius to the arm tip. External face with a raised central area and a depressed margin differentiated. Central area smooth or with an ornament of large, rounded, well demarcated granule-pits. Depressed margin with one or several rows of tiny, dense, adjoining granule-pits. Pedicellariae-pits oval, winged. 4 to 8 furow spines per adambulacral plate.
