Kummelonautilus yamashitai
Taxonomy
Kummeloceras yamashitai was named by Matsumoto (1983). Its type specimen is GK.H5923, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Loc. Y5203 - River Hakkinzawa, Oyubari, which is in a Turonian marine mudstone in Japan. It is the type species of Kummelonautilus, Kummeloceras.
It was recombined as Kummelonautilus yamashitai by Matsumoto (1984).
