Diagnosis
ReferenceDiagnosis
A.S. Gale 2021Sphaerasteridae in which the undifferentiated primary body ossicles have the form of a truncated cone. The flat top of the cone forms the external face of the ossicle, and carries beads of imperforate stereom. The interstices between the faces of the abactinal
ossicles are packed with smaller ossicles which also carry a beaded sculpture. Together, the primaries and the interstitial ossicles form a flush outer surface. Tiny papular pores are formed by embayments in two or three interstitial ossicles.
