Taxonomy
Nautilus (Cymatoceras) semilobatus was named by Spengler (1910). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Utatur, Phosphatscichten, which is in an Albian carbonate limestone in India.

It was recombined as Cymatoceras semilobatus by Kummel (1956); it was recombined as Cymatoceras semilobatum by Shimansky (1975).
