Taxonomy
Gzheloceras striatum was named by Shimanskiy (1967). Its type specimen is PIN 1193/14, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Beleuty River (Middle Visean), which is in an Arundian/Holkerian marine horizon in Kazakhstan.
