Pleuronautilus megaporus
Taxonomy
Metacoceras megaporum was named by Miller (1945). It is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is PU3, Apache Canyon, Sierra Diablo, which is in a Kungurian shallow subtidal limestone in the Bone Spring Formation of Texas.
It was recombined as Foordiceras megaporum by Miller and Youngquist (1949); it was recombined as Pleuronautilus megaporus by Shimanskiy (1967).
