Taxonomy
Lophoceras eichwaldi was named by Shimanskiy (1967). Its type specimen is PIN 1192/247, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Zaborie quarry, Serpukhov, which is in a Pendleian marine horizon in the Steshev Formation of the Russian Federation.
