Taxonomy
Glaphyrites uralensis was named by Ruzhentsev and Bogoslovskaya (1971). Its type specimen is PIN 455/36765, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kiya River, sample 4, which is in an Arnsbergian carbonate limestone in the Russian Federation.
