Taxonomy
Syngastrioceras supinum was named by Ruzhentsev and Bogoslovskaya (1978). Its type specimen is PIN 2195/144, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Aravan River, SW of Yangi-Kurgan, NE of Koksarau Mt., Sample 2, Fergana, which is in a Yeadonian offshore shelf limestone in Uzbekistan.
