Taxonomy
Ramosites subtilis was named by Ruzhentsev and Bogoslovskaya (1978). Its type specimen is PIN 455/38951, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Pis'myanka River, Sample 3, Southern Urals, Orenburg, which is in an Alportian offshore shelf carbonate in the Russian Federation.
