Taxonomy
Rineceras carinatiforme was named by Shimanskiy (1967). Its type specimen is PIN 1197/94, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Kipchak River (Middle Visean), which is in a Holkerian marine horizon in Kazakhstan.
