Taxonomy
Stroboceras mstense was named by Shimanskiy (1967). Its type specimen is PIN 1192/670, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Msta River, below Poneretka River, which is in a Serpukhovian marine horizon in the Steshevskiy Formation of the Russian Federation.
