Taxonomy
Hemiliroceras urtasimense was named by Shimanskiy (1967). Its type specimen is PIN 1194/1031, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sibay Creek, Urtazym village, which is in a Bashkirian/Moscovian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
