Taxonomy
Sibyllonautilus orientalis was named by Sobolev (1989). Its type specimen is IGiG 759/150, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Tsvetkov Cape, nevadanus zone, eastern Taimyr, which is in an Illyrian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
