Pleuronautilus alaskensis
Taxonomy
Pleuronautilus alaskensis was named by Kummel (1953). Its type specimen is USNM 107082, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 13749, Kennicott Glacier, which is in a Tuvalian carbonate limestone in the Chitistone Formation of Alaska.
