Taxonomy
Reuschella herreraensis was named by Villas (1992). Its type specimen is MPZ 4760 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Santa Catalina Hill. 08 meters, which is in a Berounian/Vinice sand shoal grainstone/shale in the Fombuena Formation of Spain.

E Villas 1992Large species of Reuschella, equibiconvex, with strongly mucronate hinge line in young stages and acute to rectangular cardinal angles in adults; weak angular ventral fold and shallow dorsal sulcus dying out anteriorly in large valves; short subpentagonal ventral muscle field; cardinal process deeply fissured, without shaft, as long as the thickened notothyrial platform; brachiophores stout and short, widely splaying laterally; adductor pits very shallow, progressively filled with age; without crural pits.
