Eucryphia falcata was named by Hill (1991) [Type Locality: Lake Bungarby, South-eastern Australia.
Specimens Examined: LB-025, 006, 098, 103, 134.]. It is not extant. Its type specimen is Holotype: LB-025, stored in the Department of Plant Science, University of Tasmania., a leaf (Leaf compound.). Its type locality is Lake Bungarby, which is in a Paleocene terrestrial mudstone in Australia.

Terminal leaflet symmetrical, base rounded, apex unknown, margin entire or with small, scattered serrations, length at least 7 cm, width up to 2.8 cm. Lateral leaflets falcate, base asymmetrical, apex attenuate, margin with prominent, regularly spaced serrations, length up to 9.5 cm, width up to 1.8 cm.
