Saukrodictya tormoensis was named by Villas (1992). Its type specimen is MPZ 4702 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Santa Catalina Hill. 08 meters, which is in a Berounian/Vinice sand shoal grainstone/shale in the Fombuena Formation of Spain.
