Euproteaciphyllum tridacnoides was named by Jordan et al. (1998) [nom. nov., based on Proteaciphyllum tridacnoides R.J.Carp. & G.J.Jord. (Australian Systematic Botany 10: 554 (1997)), nom. illeg.]. It is not extant. It is the type species of Euproteaciphyllum.
