Taxonomy
Notoatherix antiqua was named by Oberprieler and Yeates (2014). It is a compression fossil. Its type locality is Talbragar Fossil Fish Bed, southern end, which is in a Tithonian lacustrine - small siliciclastic in Australia. It is the type species of Notoatherix.
