Glaphyrites fayettevillae
Taxonomy
Cravenoceras fayettevillae was named by Gordon (1964). Its type specimen is USNM 119518, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is USGS 14391, East (Sequoyah) Mountain, which is in a Pendleian marine shale in the Fayetteville Formation of Arkansas.
It was recombined as Glaphyrites fayettevillae by Ruzhentsev and Bogoslovskaya (1971).
