Euroceras ellipsoidale
Taxonomy
Euroceras ellipsoidale was named by Ruzhentsev and Bogoslovskaya (1971). Its type specimen is PIN 455/38136, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sholak-Say Canyon, Sample 3, Southern Urals, Aktyubin Region, which is in an Arnsbergian offshore shelf carbonate in Kazakhstan.
It was recombined as Neoglaphyrites ellipsoidale by Nassichuk (1975).
