Crinerocrinus was named by Kolata (1982) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara-l]. It is not extant. Its type is Crinerocrinus parvicostatus.
It was assigned to Rhodocrinitidae by Ausich (1998); and to Diplobathrida by Sepkoski (2002).
