Taxonomy
Dombarocanites masoni was named by Gordon (1964). Its type specimen is LSJU 9168 and is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is LSJU loc. 23146, Cerro Gordo Spring Trail, which is in an Arnsbergian marine shale in the Rest Spring Formation of California.
