Taxonomy
Gastrioceras (Branneroceratoides) tetragonum was named by Kullmann (1962). Its type specimen is BEO600-551.73:592-476, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil.

It was recombined as Entogonites tetragonus by Ruzhentsev and Bogoslovskaya (1971), Korn and Sudar (2010) and Korn and Sudar (2016).
