Taxonomy
Neoarchaeocrinus was named by Strimple (1955) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara-m D Gedi]. It is not extant. Its type is Neoarchaeocrinus pyriformis.

It was assigned to Rhodocrinitidae by Ausich (1998); and to Diplobathrida by Sepkoski (2002).
