Horderleyella chacaltanai

Taxonomy
Horderleyella chacaltanai was named by Villas et al. (2015). Its type specimen is CPI 6561, a valve (Internal mould of dorsal valve), and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ticara Creek C3, which is in a Burrellian marine sandstone in the Calapuja Formation of Peru.

Villas et al. 2015Shell slightly mucronate in young stages to transversely subquadrate in adults, coarsely fascicostellate, with 9–11 ribs per 5 mm at 5 mm anteromedially from umbo; diamond-shaped ventral muscle field; brachiophores bladelike, projecting anterolaterally from notothyrial platform, not attached to valve floor and overhanging adductor scars.
