Taxonomy
Pararchaeocrinus was named by Strimple and Watkins (1955) [Sepkoski's age data: O Cara-l O Ashg-m]. It is not extant. Its type is Pararchaeocrinus decoratus.

It was assigned to Rhodocrinitidae by Ausich (1998); and to Diplobathrida by Sepkoski (2002).
