Taxonomy
Rhodocrinites was named by Miller (1821) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-l C Vise-u Sepkoski's reference number: 2,986]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Rhodocrinidae, Rhodocrinitacea.

It was assigned to Rhodocrinitidae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Diplobathrida by Sepkoski (2002).
