Taxonomy
Glaphyrites rhymnus was named by Ruzhentsev (1950). Its type specimen is PIN 320/3693, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Ural river, west of Nikolsk, bed 31, which is in a Gzhelian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
