Taxonomy
Glaphyrites submodestus was named by Ruzhentsev (1950). Its type specimen is PIN 320/3065, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Sakmara River, cut 167 km, bed 11, which is in a Gzhelian marine siliciclastic in the Russian Federation.
