Taxonomy
Acrocrinus was named by Yandell (1855) [Sepkoski's age data: C Vise-u C Serp-l Sepkoski's reference number: 986]. It is not extant. It is the type genus of Acrocrininae.

It was assigned to Acrocrininae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Monobathrida by Sepkoski (2002).
