Allocrinus was named by Wachsmuth and Springer (1889) [Sepkoski's age data: S Wenl-l S Ludl]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Monobathrida by Sepkoski (2002); and to Dolatocrinidae by Clement and Brett (2015).
