Amphoracrocrinus was named by Moore and Strimple (1969) [Sepkoski's age data: C Tour-u C Serp-l Sepkoski's reference number: 704]. It is not extant.

It was assigned to Acrocrininae by Ubaghs et al. (1978); and to Monobathrida by Sepkoski (2002).
