Taxonomy
Cenoceras ciryi was named by Rulleau (2008). Its type specimen is PF Toa 582, a shell, and it is a 3D body fossil. Its type locality is Lafarge quarry, Belmont (Thouarsense zone), which is in a Thouarsense carbonate limestone in France.
